The Glen at Lake Oconee Village Open to Seniors Needing Accommodations After Hurricane.

Event Details

The Glen at Lake Oconee Village is open for shelter for those Georgia seniors and families displaced by Hurricane Michael. The community is located at 1070 Old Salem Road in Greensboro, Georgia, and offers accommodations for independent living, assisted living and memory care. Arrangements also can be made to accommodate pets.

“We understand the stress of losing a home or having a home that is uninhabitable after the storm,” said Jamie Lancaster, executive director of The Glen. “Our community is ready to offer a comfortable, safe haven to those who need us with food, water, staff, medical supplies and a backup generator. The Glen has always been dedicated to providing a worry-free, extraordinary lifestyle.  And we are dedicated to the well-being of the greater community as well.”

Life Care Services®, which manages The Glen, has over 40 years of experience in not only providing industry-leading housing options for seniors, but also in ensuring the safety and security of residents through hurricanes and other emergencies. Just last year in Florida, an LCS community, The Bayshore on Hilton Head Island, hosted more than 200 displaced residents from other retirement communities in the area and served as a valuable resource of shelter and safety.
