John Moon, Certified Music Therapist and Life Enrichment Coordinator

John graduated from Georgia College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree. He is a board-certified and licensed music therapist and focuses his practice on residents with dementia. John began his career creating, implementing, and facilitating activities and music therapy sessions with skilled nursing. He then came to The Glen when it opened in May 2017. As Memory Care Coordinator, John creates and facilitates the activity program in The Manor, our memory care area. He also coordinates with the families of our residents. John trains all staff at The Glen on our Heartfelt Connections – A Memory Care Program®, a specialized training on how to provide the best care and how to interact with our residents, providing the highest quality of life for them. He also co-facilitates the local Dementia Caregivers Support Group twice a month. 

John and his wife Samantha live in Greensboro. They have two cats, Noah and Sassy. John loves to play piano and guitar and garden, as well as visit his friends and family around the state.
