Lamar Kersey, Executive Chef
With 20+ years in the restaurant industry, Executive Chef Lamar Kersey not only knows his way around the kitchen, he understands how food can inspire wonderful memories and transform a dining experience into something remarkable. Born and raised in Eatonton, Georgia, Lamar began his career at the age of 15 at the Harbor Club. Following high school, he attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina, where he obtained a degree in culinary arts. Since then, he has opened several restaurants, and worked at Cuscowilla as sous chef and at the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee. “I love food and the connection people have with food,” said Lamar. “I enjoy making meals that take people back to their childhood or a memory they can connect to.” And we’re so pleased he’s making new memories for us right here!
