A native of Georgia, Jamie has extensive experience in senior living that began a decade ago when she helped college volunteers coordinate senior proms, Wii bowling and pet therapy in assisted living communities. Most recently she served as executive director with a retirement community in Alabama. During her tenure, Jamie oversaw a major improvement in the community’s financial structure and also greatly increased employee satisfaction. She earlier served as activities director of the community, and obtained her nursing home administrator’s license in 2009.
“I’m so looking forward to working with everyone at what promises to be the area’s finest lifestyle,” says Jamie. “The Glen will be unmatched in sophistication and style and a perfect choice for retirement-aged people in Reynolds Plantation and along Lake Oconee.”
Jamie is one of the first in the nation to be named a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL) by The Senior Living Certification Commission (SLCC). She is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and of the Junior League National Association. She received a bachelor’s degree in geriatrics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in health care administration from Columbus State University.
When she’s not assisting seniors, Jamie loves to spend time with her husband and two French bulldogs, Bauer and Pearl. She is also a member of a competitive barbecue team, “Swine and Shine.”
